Emergency and Critical Care

Our highly trained medical staff offers a wide range of services to support the recovery and treatment of critically and chronically ill pets. Our ER team is lead by a Board Certified Emergency and Critical Care Specialist. This team of doctors and nurses are on duty at all time, most notably those times when your regular veterinarian may not be available – nights, weekends and major holidays. No appointment is necessary for our Emergency and Critical Care services, but please call ahead if possible so we know you are on your way.

Some conditions that may require a visit to the ER include:

• Traumatic event such as hit by car
• Difficulty breathing
• Convulsions or seizures
• Exposure to a toxin or medication that was not prescribed
• Difficulty urinating
• Uncontrolled bleeding
• Bloated or distended abdomen
• Persistent or severe vomiting or diarrhea
• Suddenly unable to use a limb or unsteady on feet
• Difficulty giving birth
