Emergency / ICU Services

Our Emergency and Critical Care Clinicians provide a wide range of services to support the treatment and recovery of critically and chronically ill patients.  Our ECC team is lead by a Board Certified Emergency and Critical Care Specialist (Criticalist).  As a referral hospital, we support your client/patient relationship and work with you to return patients to your care in a timely manner.   We work closely with you, sharing information as a team of professionals caring for our patients.  Our team approach to specialty medicine allows us to easily involve other specialists (internal medicine, surgery and cardiology) and you as needed to develop a comprehensive plan for a patient’s time at our hospital.  This method of practice allows us to know our patients in depth and treat them carefully and considerately throughout their stay with us.  We have been able to effectively reduce lengthy hospitalization stays and associated infection rates typical of veterinary critical care by working together to maintain a high standard of care. 

We respect your clients and understand the stress of a trip to the ER.  Our team of Emergency and Critical Care Clinicians, Technicians, Assistants and Receptionists have trained together to become a ‘well-oiled machine’ – ready and able to respond at a moment’s notice to life threatening traumas.  They are also caring and compassionate care-givers.  Your clients will feel well cared for at CRVS. 

Our Emergency and Critical Care services are available at all times, most notably those times when you may not be available – nights, weekends and major holidays.  No appointment is necessary for our Emergency and Critical Care services, but please encourage your clients to call ahead so we know they are on their way. 

We do not provide routine care of any kind.  We do not provide any boarding.
